PLANTS
WHAT DO WE STOCK?
We stock a good range of outdoor plants in our lovely open plant display area. Our stock changes according to the seasons so that you'll always have something beautiful to put in your garden come rain or shine. Where possible, we try to make sure that our plants come from local nurseries, so that they're prepared for the North of England climate and to reduce our carbon footprint.
Due to our size and facilities we are sadly not currently able to stock houseplants.
BEDDING PLANTS
We stock a range of seasonal bedding plants throughout the year all from a local nursery.
ALPINES
Supplied by our Alpine specialist we have a range of 1L plants such as Sedums, Sempervivums and Lewisia. The selection is regularly changing so there is always something interesting to choose from.
PERENNIALS
From spring through to autumn we stock a range of perennials. From Aquilegias to Verbenas we will have something to brighten your garden.
ROSES
We are stockists of Harkness roses. Floribunda, Shrub, Climbing or Rambling we have a selection of well known roses and special occasion roses. Whether it's for their name, scent or beautiful colour we have a rose for you all at affordable prices.
CLIMBERS
Clematis, Honeysuckle, Jasmine and Wisteria to name a few. From early Spring we stock a range of climbers for every spot in your garden.
HERBS
A fine selection of seasonal herbs in 9cm and 1L pots are available from Spring onwards. From the usual Thyme, Parsley, Rosemary and Sage to the more unusual such as Lemon Verbena, Greek Basil, Chocolate Mint and Chicory. A chef's delight.
GRASSES
From the black leaves of Ophiopogon nigra to the tall graceful Stipa Gigantea we have a range of grasses to bring architectural beauty to any flower bed throughout the year.
SHRUBS
An extensive range of deciduous and evergreen shrubs fills our benches. Aucuba, Berberis, Euonymus, Hebe, Sambucus and Viburnum to name a few. Perfect to help form the structure of your garden.
ORNAMENTAL TREES
In spring we stock up on ornamental trees such as Rowan, Birch, Japanese Acer, Hawthorn, Crab Apple and more. Usually around 5ft tall in 10L pots ready to be planted and become a feature point in your garden.
FRUIT TREES & BUSHES
Apple, Plum, Pear, Cherry and Damson Trees are stocked from Spring. Fruit bushes such as Black currant, Raspberry and Gooseberry are stocked as they become available from the nurseries.
SEASONAL VEGETABLES
From April we stock strip vegetables like Broad Beans, Runner Beans, Cabbage, Cauliflower and a whole lot more. We have Tomatoes, Peppers, Chilies and Courgettes in 9cm pots.
